Texas Police Go Undercover to Make C-Store Arrests

EL PASO, Texas -- In an effort to deter crime at convenience stores, the El Paso Police Department has been conducting special operations using plainclothes officers from various regions. The officers conducted surveillance at various convenience store locations around the city, reported ABC News.

An operation conducted last weekend yielded 10 felony arrests, including outstanding criminal warrants, robbery, possession of a controlled substance, aggravated robbery, felony graffiti, seven Class C theft arrests, seven Class C citations including narcotic paraphernalia, open container of alcohol and theft.

There were also two people arrested for outstanding municipal warrants, police said in a news released circulated to the media. These operations will be continuing in various parts of the city on an unannounced basis.
