Thorntons Brings Back Free Gas Sweepstakes in Bigger Way
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Thorntons Inc. upped the ante in its "Free Gas for a Year" sweepstakes this year. Each week, one customer at each store will receive a free fill-up, and at the end of the promotion, Thorntons will randomly select a free gas for a year winner from each participating state.
From now through July 5, the Louisville-based convenience store chain is giving away hundreds of gallons of free gas at its convenience stores in Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Florida and Tennessee.
The Free Gas for a Year sweepstakes is eligible to all Thorntons Refreshing Rewards loyalty members. Most purchases are eligible to win prizes, whether it’s fuel or in-store items.
5-hour Energy single bottles, Monster Energy 16-ounce cans, M&M’S standard-size bars, 32-ounce fountain drinks, and Thorntons Fresh On the Go sausage biscuits and Thorntons burrito and dispensed beverage combo (select stores only) are eligible for double entries into the sweepstakes.
Founded by James Thornton in 1971, Thorntons Inc. operates 180 convenience stores in Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Florida and Tennessee. Its Refreshing Rewards loyalty program, launched in 2014, has more than 1.5 million customers registered.
