Tokheim Launches Focus

FORT WAYNE, Ind.

Tokheim MSI introduces its second-generation PC-based point-of-sale (POS) system -- Focus. The comprehensive POS touchscreen system is built on a scalable technology that enables the system to expand at the rate of the retailer's business.

To increase profitability and efficiency at every location, the NT technology based, open-architecture system allows connection to convenience stores, quick-serve restaurants (QSR) and other site devices with less effort.

The new Focus POS is an all-encompassing system allowing complete fuel dispenser control, merchandise scanning, full QSR functions (including a state-of-the-art kitchen system), security camera interface, extensive local and remote reporting and unattended with change back capabilities -- all achievable in a single configuration. In addition, Focus interfaces with a variety of dispensers allowing customers to implement in-store automation using existing dispensing equipment.

Dispenser authorization and pay-off with the touch of one button accompanied by fast accurate payment authorization, allows store employees to quickly and efficiently service customers. To further increase performance and ensure accurate bookkeeping, the Focus POS system provides up-to-date velocity reports, graphical employee comparison reports and the tracking of merchandise sales and turnover.

In addition, the customized configurations allow specific employees to use certain screens reducing training time to an average of 20 minutes.
