TravelCenters of America Launches "Name the Burger" Contest
WESTLAKE, Ohio -- TravelCenters of America LLC (TA) has launched a "Name the Burger" contest for professional drivers. Contestants who submit the winning names for new burger creations to be served at TA and Petro Stopping Center restaurants will receive 25,000 UltraONE loyalty reward points.
Drivers can order the unnamed burgers for inspiration at TA and Petro Stopping Center full-service restaurants from April 25 to May 31 and then submit their name suggestions online at www.ta-petro.com/nametheburger.
"While I love to create new dishes to bring variety to professional drivers, I am definitely not the best at coming up with creative names for these items," said Executive Chef Tom Straub of TravelCenters. "We hope drivers will enjoy these burgers and have a great time naming them."
Any member of the UltraONE Driver Rewards Program is eligible to enter the contest. Two grand prize winners will receive the 25,000 UltraONE points and have their burger name featured at TA and Petro restaurants.
Both of the new burgers contain half a pound of chopped steak, lettuce, tomato and pickle garnish on a sesame seed bun. The unnamed TA burger also features teriyaki sauce, wasabi mayonnaise and Swiss cheese, while the unnamed Petro Iron Skillet burger features breaded and fried jalapenos, Chipotle mayonnaise and pepperjack cheese.
Contest entries will be judged on originality (30 percent), descriptive nature of the burger name (30 percent) and "appetite appeal" (40 percent).
