OKLAHOMA CITY — Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores Inc. completed its purchase of Trillium CNG. Following this transaction, Love’s customers have access to an additional 37 compressed natural gas (CNG) stations. In all, Love’s now operates 65 public-access CNG facilities.
“Trillium CNG brings 20 years of knowledge and skill in the CNG industry to the Love’s family of companies and we’re proud to have them on board,” said Frank Love, co-CEO of Love’s. “The addition of Trillium bolsters the CNG dimension of Love’s customer offerings and brings enhanced, fleet-focused services from the Love’s organization to CNG customers.”
According to Love’s, customers will benefit from Trillium’s expertise, and Trillium customers can take advantage of Love’s offerings, such as the My Love Rewards loyalty program, Love’s Truck Tire Care, Love’s financial services, Love’s 28 existing CNG locations, and more.
“This acquisition shows Love’s has a long-term commitment to CNG,” the chief executive said. “Together with Trillium, we can help new and existing customers extend their commitment to CNG. We will continue to make investments in the alternative fuel industry to give customers more access to a cleaner-burning fueling solution with a stable cost.”
Trillium CNG provides fuel for thousands of natural gas vehicles daily and delivers more than 55 million gallons of CNG per year.
CSNews Online first reported the proposed acquisition on Feb. 3. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
CNG is touted as a locally produced, environmentally superior alternative to traditional petroleum.
