TripiFoods Exec Mike Deuser to Receive 2015 Carl Tripi Award
ALBANY, N.Y. — The New York Association of Convenience Stores (NYACS) will honor Mike Deuser, vice president of foodservice for TripiFoods Inc., as the 2015 recipient of its Carl Tripi Award.
The annual Carl Tripi Award recognizes those who have made “low-profile, high-impact” contributions to NYACS and the convenience store industry. It is named after the late Carl Tripi, who served as chairman of Buffalo, N.Y.-based wholesale distributor Tripifoods.
“Mike has quietly made sure NYACS received the utmost financial and volunteer support from his company and other suppliers in order to protect and promote the convenience store industry. In that regard, he embodies the spirit of his one-time boss at Tripifoods, the late Carl Tripi,” the association stated.
A resident of West Seneca, N.Y., Deuser is a long-time member of the NYACS Associate Board and served as its chairman in 2013-2014. He serves on the Convention Committee and chaired the NYACS Chairmen’s Open golf tournament last year in Ellicottville, N.Y.
Deuser will receive the award during NYACS’ annual Chairman’s Banquet on Thursday, May 14 in Syracuse, N.Y.
The Chairman's Banquet is the closing event of NYACS' two-day trade show and convention, being held May 13-14 in Syracuse. The show also features a golf outing, welcome party, educational seminars, trade exhibits, prizes and other activities for member and non-member retailers and suppliers.
