Turkey Hill, Stewart's Shops Rack Up Regional Honors
NATIONAL REPORT — Convenience store chains in Pennsylvania and New York are earning accolades.
Turkey Hill Minit Markets, based in Manor Township, Pa., has been named the best convenience store in the Wyoming Valley area of the state, according to the Times Leader. It is the fourth straight year the retailer has won the title.
The chain's locations include "Fresh to Go" food offerings, touchscreen ordering, Turkey Hill's signature ice cream, and its Coffee Central and Soda Central beverage stations.
One of five c-store chains under The Kroger Co. umbrella, Turkey Hill has nearly 300 stores in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana.
In New York, Saratoga Springs-based Stewart's Shops was voted Best Coffee in Capital Region Living Magazine's 2017 Bestie Awards.
"Who out there does not love Stewart's coffee?" asked the magazine. "Coffee maker sales have to be down in our area because we all run out for Stewart's. Great coffee and at reasonable prices. No barista — only quality."
Stewart's Shops operates 337 convenience stores across upstate New York and southern Vermont.
