Valero Feeling Blue
SAN ANTONIO -- Valero customers in San Antonio joined retired NFL star and former Dallas Cowboy Randy White at a Diamond Shamrock Corner Store to celebrate the introduction of Pepsi's newest flavor, Pepsi Blue. Diamond Shamrock Corner Stores and Stop N Go locations were the first in San Antonio, as well as several other markets, to sell Pepsi's latest soft drink in 20-ounce bottles.
Valero operates more than 1,300 convenience stores in 15 states.
To celebrate Pepsi Blue's introduction, the NFL Hall-of-Fame member delivered one of the first shipments of the new blue-tinted soda to a newly re-imaged Diamond Shamrock Corner Store. White worked with Diamond Shamrock employees to unload the Pepsi Blue, and he stocked shelves, greeted customers and signed autographs.
Valero, parent company of Diamond Shamrock, will continue the promotion with rollouts of the beverage at Valero, Diamond Shamrock Corner Store and Stop N Go locations in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Waco, El Paso, Denver and Colorado Springs.
