VERC Store Managers Recognized by New England Peers

DUXBURY, Mass. -- Two store managers with VERC Enterprises are being recognized by the New England Convenience Store Association (NESCA).

Shan Muhammad, manager of the VERC Commerce Way Mobil at 113 Commerce Way in Plymouth, Mass., has been named NESCA's Retail Operations Award winner. Steve Vieira, manager of the chain’s Fitchburg Mobil on the Run at 129 Whalon St. in Fitchburg, Mass., has been named the recipient of NESCA's Community Service Award.

Muhammad and Vieira will be honored at NESCA's Store Operator of the Year awards banquet on March 20, being held at the DCU Center in Worcester, Mass. The association’s awards program is designed to recognize outstanding individuals who set the standard of excellence for the convenience store industry throughout New England.

"The NESCA awards honor the best of the best in our industry," said Leo Vercollone, president of VERC Enterprises. "We are proud, but certainly not surprised, that Shan and Steve will take home these prestigious awards of excellence."

VERC Enterprises, a convenience store and Mobil/Gulf gasoline operator, has 24 locations throughout eastern Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
