Web Site Helps Gas Stations Connect with Customers

FOLSOM, Calif. -- Gas station owners can now utilize a new online resource to attract price-conscious consumers seeking lower gas prices -- cheapestgasintown.com.

The Web site's creator, James Wester, started the Web site to help stations suffering from lower margins increase traffic by connecting owners with customers that are searching for local stations or travelers looking for locations they’ll be drving to or through.

Businesses, listed as "Company Members," can register, set up profiles with photos of their station or logos to promote their location, and upload current gas prices 24 hours a day. Registered members can update information an unlimited number of times.

No contracts are required, but the Web service does charge a fee for registration. Special prices are available to the first thousand registrants to the site. Gas stations can register and find more information at http://cheapestgasintown.com/companyjoin.php.
