7-Eleven Extends Slurpee Brand Into Baked Goods

DALLAS — 7-Eleven Inc. combined two of its most popular products into one with the introduction of the Wild Cherry Slurpee doughnut.

The baked treat is a cake doughnut speckled with pink inside and topped with wild cherry-flavor icing and sugar crystals, according to Brand Eating. Each Wild Cherry Slurpee doughnut sells for 99 cents.

The new doughnut launched this month to help 7-Eleven celebrate the Slurpee turning 50, or "Fiftee." The treat became available in conjunction with 7-Eleven's second Bring Your Own Cup event, held March 18-19. Customers at participating 7-Eleven stores were able to fill their chosen cup or container — which had to fit through an in-store display's 10-inch diameter hole — for just $1.50, or the average cost of a medium Slurpee, as CSNews Online previously reported

Dallas-based 7-Eleven Inc. operates, franchises and licenses more than 10,700 7-Eleven stores in North America.
