All Cenex Gasoline Upgraded to Top Tier Standards

ST. PAUL, Minn. — All 1,450 Cenex stations in 19 states now offer Cenex Top Tier Detergent Gasoline.

According to Cenex parent company CHS Inc., the fuel goes beyond Environmental Protection Agency minimum detergent requirements, containing a premium additive package that exceeds industry standards for fuel efficiency and engine performance.

The fuel, blended into every gallon of Cenex-brand gasoline across all octane levels, is also proven to reduce metallic deposits on intake valves, fuel injectors and combustion chambers, stated CHS.

“Today’s more fuel-efficient engines require higher-quality fuel to operate at peak performance," said Aktar Hussain, CHS’ refined fuels brand marketing manager. “Cenex Top Tier Detergent Gasoline is blended with an improved detergent package that reduces harmful engine deposits and helps clean as it runs.”

CHS will launch a marketing campaign to educate consumers about the benefits of the fuel. Cenex retailers will receive marketing tools, including a new pump design, to implement at their locations.

“Cenex customers, especially those living in rural America, depend on their vehicles as a part of their daily lives,” Hussain said. “With the transition to Cenex Top Tier Detergent Gasoline, Cenex retailers are helping their customers’ vehicles run cleaner for longer. We see this investment as another way to provide our Cenex retailers with the highest-quality products that meet the evolving needs of their customers.”

St. Paul-based CHS Inc. is a global agribusiness owned by farmers, ranchers and cooperatives across the United States.
