Circle K Partners With NJOY for Chainwide Corporate Distribution
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Circle K and NJOY have formed a partnership to bring electronic cigarettes to all the company's 3,100 corporate stores in the United States. The chainwide corporate store distribution pact begins in August.
"Circle K's focus on leadership brands that meet the evolving needs of their customers with innovative new products aligns perfectly with NJOY and its rechargeable and non-rechargeable products," said Vito Maurici, senior vice president of sales and distribution for NJOY.
As part of the rollout, Circle K will carry NJOY's Rechargeable Starter Kits, cartridge refills and Onejoy non-rechargeable products. All are available in traditional, menthol and in varying nicotine levels.
"While still in its infancy, the electronic cigarette category has thus far been marked by tremendous variation in terms of product quality and consistency," said Trey Powell, director of national procurement for Circle K. "NJOY has developed a strong reputation for quality, and their performance within the category really underscores the value that consumers have assigned to the brand. We're confident that our customers will do the same."
With the partnership, NJOY will be available in nearly 30,000 retail locations around the country. NJOY has reached a 38.5-percent market share of dollars according to the most recent Nielsen ScanTrack (May, 2012) numbers in c-stores, according to a company release.
Circle K is part of the Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. family. It has more than 3,300 Circle K stores across the United States and more than 4,000 international locations.
