CSNews Named Folio: Award Finalist in Two Categories
JERSEY CITY, N.J. — Convenience Store News, the leading media brand of the convenience store industry, has once again been selected as a finalist for two awards in the 2016 FOLIO: Eddie and Ozzie Awards.
The annual Eddie and Ozzie Awards program, the largest program of its kind in consumer and business-to-business (B-to-B) publishing, recognizes the best in editorial and design across all corners of the magazine industry.
Convenience Store News is one of three finalists for Best Single or Series of Articles in the B-to-B Retail Category for the Day in the Life report on CST Brands (August 2015) and was one of five magazine finalists for Best Full Issue in the B-to-B Retail Category for its October 2015 issue featuring a cover story on QuikTrip, in-depth coverage of all the major c-store product categories, and numerous special marketing, technology and research reports.
"The Day in the Life report on CST Brands, at the time the second-largest publicly traded fuel and convenience retailer in North America, was an industry first — a multinational, multi-site report that gave our editors unparalleled access to top executives in four divisions across the U.S. and Canada," said Don Longo, editorial director.
"The October 2015 issue was not only the largest, but probably our best issue of the year," Longo continued. "It covered all the major issues and topics that concern convenience and fuel retailers today."
The winners and honorable mentions will be announced and celebrated Monday, Oct. 31 in New York.
CSNews won an Honorable Mention award for Best Single Article in last year's Folio: competition, and won double Honorable Mention awards for Best Full Issue and Best Single Article in the 2014 competition.
Convenience Store News is owned by EnsembleIQ, a premier business intelligence resource formed from the recent merger of Stagnito Business Information, Edgell Communications and Path to Purchase Institute.
