CVS Brings Back Free Gas Card Promo

WOONSOCKET, R.I. -- CVS/pharmacy brought back its popular "Free Gas Card" promotion, which allows loyalty customers to receive a $10 fuel gift card when spending $30 on participating items.

From now through July 19, members of CVS' ExtraCare program can earn one $10 gift card to Shell, ExxonMobil, BP or Amoco locations when spending $30 on specially-marked summer picnic, summer health and personal care items. Qualifying products can be found via myWeekly Ad, a personalized version of CVS' weekly circular, or via in-store signage in the seasonal aisle at select locations.

Once ExtraCare customers reach $30 in qualifying purchases, a special coupon will print on their receipt that can be redeemed immediately in-store for a gas card. There is a limit of one redemption per week for each ExtraCare cardholder.

"This promotion is back by popular demand, offering ExtraCare members savings at the pump just by shopping at CVS/pharmacy," said Judy Sansone, senior vice president of merchandising for the drugstore chain. "We know it's a busy time of year, and this is the latest way we are delivering personalized value to our loyal shoppers."
