This vice president of marketing gets each day started sweetly, with a cookie
Donna Sanker joined BP, parent of the ARCO and ampm brands, in 1996 and has held various operations and marketing positions for the company, which has more than 1,100 ampm locations and markets more than 15 billion gallons of gasoline every year to U.S. customers.
During ampm's national expansion, she led advertising, marketing and public relations, and was previously responsible for transforming BP's U.S. convenience retail business to 100 percent franchises. Today, Sanker oversees all marketing and merchandising activities for ampm and ARCO in northern California and the Pacific Northwest.
She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a master's degree from the University of Southern California.
What is your favorite day of the week and why?
Saturday â sleep in, play tennis, go for a paddleboard and hang with my family.
What actor would play you in a movie about your life?
I'd like to think Julia Roberts.
What do you do when you are stressed out?
Play tennis and hit the ball hard.
If you were to change careers, what would you want to do?
Be a movie or TV show director.
What is your guilty pleasure?
A cookie every morning with my coffee.
What is the last thing to make you use foul language?
Bad traffic during my commute on Los Angeles freeways.
