Dunkin' Donuts Announces Five New Florida Locations
CANTON, Mass -- Dunkin' Donuts signed a multi-unit development agreement with Alex and Randy Fernandez and Gloria Lengyel, the company announced. Five restaurants will open in Polk County, Fla., with the first coming in 2012 and the remaining four by 2016.
"Dunkin' Donuts is excited to welcome Alex, Randy and Gloria to the Polk County market," said Grant Benson, CFE, vice president of franchising and market planning for Dunkin' Brands Inc. "Our secret to success is our passionate franchisees who provide a high-level of customer service to our guests every day, and we're confident Alex and his team will cultivate lasting relationships and become an integral part of the Polk County community."
The company added that the Polk County development is part of a growth strategy that includes expanding from existing markets along with entering new ones. Dunkin' Donuts is also seeking to develop more franchises in other Florida counties, including Marion, Hernando, Northeast Hillsborough, North Pinellas and Pasco.
"We are excited to expand Dunkin' Donuts' presence in Polk County and play an important role in the daily lives of people who live, work and visit here," said Alex Fernandez. "We have a strong passion and loyalty for the brand and look forward to the opening of our restaurants in the years to come."
Along with its traditional coffee and doughnut offerings, Dunkin' Donuts's menu expanded to a full bakery assortment, frozen and iced beverages and an all-day Oven-Toasted menu. The company's global system-wide sales were $6.0 billion in 2010.
