Kum & Go Offers Fuel Discount to E85 Users

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — In an attempt to promote E85, Kum & Go LC on Tuesday sold the alternative fuel for 85 cents per gallon at its 5771 N. Carefree Circle convenience store here.

Acording to The Gazette, Kum & Go offered the 85-cent E85 promotion for four hours, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Colorado Corn and Front Range Energy also took part in the promotion, which included giveaways.

E85 is a fuel blend containing between 70- and 85-percent ethanol, with the remainder comprising traditional gasoline. It is available for use in flex-flex vehicles.

Kum & Go will host a similar E85 promotion at another Colorado Springs c-store, located at 7375 Duryea Drive, on June 30, reported the news outlet.

West Des Moines, Iowa-based Kum & Go LC operates more than 430 c-stores in 11 states.
