Minit Mart Goes Sweet with New Fountain Drinks
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Fred's Minit Mart LLC released its newly branded fountain drink line, Minit Mix, which is available in 29 of 34 c-stores in more than 20 cities in Kentucky and Tennessee.
"Minit Mix lets our customers decide what's best rather than trying to sell them on our bottled drinks," Jerry Goff, director of operations for Fred's Minit Mart, said in a released statement. "You decide how much ice, how much flavor-you make every drink your own creation."
The new soft dink line includes 16 different options and customers can choose between PepsiCo, Dr. Pepper and Coca-Cola products, explained Goff. In addition, customers can select from six diet sodas. If mixing flavors is preferred, Minit Mix fountains have four flavor syrups available -- vanilla, cherry, raspberry and lime.
Goff said new drink recipes are gaining popularity, including cherry flavored Coke and limeade (Sprite, with lime flavor) and Creamsicle (Orange Fanta and vanilla syrup), which is a favorite among employees at the company's headquarters.
"If you come up with a great new flavor combination, let us know," Goff said in a released statement. "We'll help you spread the word about it."
