M&Ms Goes Pink For a Cause
Masterfoods USA is dipping its No. 1 chocolate brand into cause marketing by introducing specially marked packages with light pink and dark pink M&M's, according to Brandweek.
The new candies are part of Masterfoods' bid to raise at least $250,000 for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation to fund breast cancer research and outreach. Packaging graphics flag the Green M&M's spokescharacter and the Komen Foundation's pink ribbon logo. The Komen packs will be available through November. Masterfoods will donate 50 cents for every 21.3-ounce bag sold and 35 cents for every 14-ounce bag sold.
