DEERFIELD, Ill. — Mondelēz International Inc. is partnering with the Royal Buying Group (RBG) to up its presence in the independent retail channel.
"We're excited to partner with top brands like Oreo, Chips Ahoy, Sour Patch Kids, Trident and many more to ensure placement of top-selling SKUs in independent retail locations," said Angela Angelilli, executive vice president, RBG.
RBG members can take advantage of the Independent Retailer Program that offers up to a 5-percent rebate on all Mondelēz products. They will also receive new item and display information as well as regular revenue tracking and category management.
Deerfield-based Mondelēz is one of the world’'s largest snack companies, with 2015 net revenues of approximately $30 billion.
Lisle-based RBG is a national organization dedicated to maximizing sales and profitability of convenience stores, petroleum locations, college book stores, truck stops and travel plaza centers, auto repair facilities, drug stores, tobacco outlets and liquor stores. It represents 6,500 locations.
