QuickChek Opens for Business in Long Island

LAKE GROVE, N.Y. — QuickChek Corp. opened its first Long Island store this week. The Lake Grove location operates 24 hours a day and includes a training center.

"We are thrilled to mark our expansion to Long Island and becoming the new neighborhood shopping destination in the area," stated QuickChek CEO Dean Durling. "We are committed to total customer dedication and look forward to providing the people who live and work here the same high quality and value we have been providing in the region for the past 47 years."

As a grand-opening promotion, QuickChek is offering a free large coffee and a free 20-ounce iced coffee to all patrons, as well as free 20-ounce fountain drinks for children five-feet tall and under from Oct. 27 through Nov. 9.

QuickChek will also donate 25 cents for every sub, sandwich and wrap sold in the store from Oct. 27 through Nov. 26 to the Middle Country Youth Association baseball league.

Features of the new store include one-stop shopping for a wide variety of grocery and market items; fresh baked goods from an in-store bakery; an expansive craft beer selection; and a Q Café that offers handcrafted smoothies, lattes, espresso-based drinks and more. Customers can use touchscreen technology to create custom-made, oven-toasted subs, sandwiches, wraps and salads.

The store also has indoor seating for 14 people, outdoor seating for eight, eight fueling stations and 69 parking spaces. Additionally, all QuickChek stores offer no-fee ATMs.

Family-owned and -operated Whitehouse Station, N.J.-based QuickChek operates 139 stores in New Jersey and New York.
