Rutter’s Menu Gets More Unique Additions

YORK, Pa. -- Rutter's Farm Stores is making dinner a little more succulent and dessert a little sweeter thanks to the addition of beef short ribs and cannolis to its award-winning menu.

Rutter's tender, fall-off-the-bone, all-beef short ribs are slathered with Sweet Baby Ray’s Barbecue sauce and then oven-baked. Each rib has 1.7 ounces of meat, and customers can choose to order two, three or four ribs to an order. Each order is prepared at the time the customer makes the order.

For dessert, customers of the central Pennsylvania convenience store chain can now choose sweet and creamy Rutter’s cannolis. Two cannolis come in a serving, and each is filled with the fresh cream filling when a customer places their order.  Powdered sugar is sprinkled on top to complete the treat.

“We think these items not only taste delicious, but also provide our customers an exceptional value,” said Rutter’s Vice President of Foodservice Jerry Weiner. “They’re also a unique item to a c-store menu, and we love giving our customers items they can’t find anywhere else.”

Rutter’s was recently named the 2014 International Convenience Retailer of the Year.
