ALTOONA, Pa. — Sheetz Inc. is hitting the road with the Sheetz Fleet Art Project.

The convenience store retailer and creative marketing agency Tattoo Projects are taking their 11-year Agency of Record relationship to the next level, rolling out a recognizable fleet of Sheetz trucks that will hit the road bearing art with a purpose.

In May, the Sheetz Freakz artist community was called on for entries expressing their love of the brand on the side of the large rolling canvases. Approximately 130 artists in the c-store retailer's six-state footprint responded. Tattoo and Sheetz narrowed the entries to 11 finalists based on their ability to communicate the Sheetz brand in a bold new way. More than 100 Sheetz trucks featuring the artwork are now on the road.

"Sheetz fans are passionate about the brand and we were thrilled with how that translated through art," commented Tattoo Projects Partner & Creative Director Rudy Banny. "These trucks are unmistakable and unforgettable, and a testament to the willingness Sheetz has to push boundaries."

The back of each rig will have information about the program and drive viewers to a special microsite, sheetzartproject.com. From there visitors can learn about the Art Project and the artists, as well as purchase special swag including shirts, buttons, mugs and more. The proceeds will go to Sheetz For The Kidz, a charity that helps children living in the communities Sheetz serves.

"This campaign with Tattoo Projects enables us not only to support Sheetz For The Kidz, but do something we practice through all of our marketing: tap into the voice of our customer," said Sheetz Senior Creative Manager Tammy Dunkley. "As usual, they surpassed our expectations on both asks."
