The Spinx Co. Brings Large-Format Store Back to Home Market

GREENVILLE, S.C. — The Spinx Co. reintroduced its large-format convenience store to its hometown with its latest rebuild.

The store layout features an indoor and outdoor dining area, and expanded food and beverage selections. Notably, an expanded beverage wall includes items such as sweet and unsweet flavored iced teas, lemonades and new Spinx Slushy flavor options. Customers will also find several new grab-and-go items in the Fresh on the Go and Bakery departments, as well as a variety of new craft beer offerings.

 The retailer opened the store on Marue Drive in Greenville on June 10 and will hold a grand opening celebration on Friday, June 19.

"We appreciate our customers' patience as we replaced an older store with a new, larger store on the site. We look forward to introducing this newer format store to our downtown customers. In a store like this, we believe we offer our customers an enhanced shopping experience," said CEO Steve Spinks.

The opening of this store serves as a reintroduction of the newer, large store layout to the upstate market. At more than 6,500 square feet, the c-store will allow for comfortable shopping space and easier navigation to create an overall more convenient shopping experience for Spinx's Greenville customers, according to the retailer.

In addition to the expanded store layout, the location offers two pump islands for increased fueling capacity. The second island, which is set back slightly from the store, offers all three standard fuel grades as well as diesel.
 
Grand opening specials will run through the end of the month, with special days designated for in-store sampling events as well as $1 off gas promotions.
 
Greenville-based Spinx operates 79 convenience retail stores in South Carolina.
