Stop 'n' Save Introduces Hunt Brothers to Colorado

GYPSUM, Colo. -- The Stop 'n' Save convenience store located here is now home to the first Hunt Brothers Pizza Shoppe in the state, the foodservice provider reported.

To commemorate the addition, the store will host a grand opening celebration with a two-hour live radio broadcast with local radio stations KSKE and KTUN from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, the company stated.

With this addition, Hunt Brothers is available in 27 states at more than 6,000 locations, according to the company.

"The Colorado expansion is a sign of significant growth for Hunt Brothers Pizza as a company," Scott Hunt, senior executive at Hunt Brothers, said in a statement. "We are always excited to reach new areas of the country and introduce ourselves to new customers. We look forward to partnering with more Colorado-area locations in the coming weeks and months."

The Hunt Brothers' product line includes the company's 12-inch Original pizza, its Thin Crust pizza and a Slice of Breakfast pizza, all of which are delivered frozen and prepared to bake, according to the company. Products are sold in either whole pizzas or the 'Hunk 'a Pizza,' which is one-quarter of a whole pizza. All come with Hunt Brothers' signature promise of "All Toppings No Extra Charge."

In other foodservice news, Chester's Intl. celebrated yesterday the grand opening of a Chester's foodservice operation in Colbert, Okla., which will be operated by Love's Travel Stops, the company stated.

Love's was Chester's first franchisee, and is the largest franchise operator in the retailer's system with almost 40 Chester's and Chester Fried locations, according to the company.

"Working with a national brand like Chester's has proven to be successful for us," Joe Cotton, director of restaurant services for Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores, said in a statement. "The marketing support we get from Chester's is a much needed boost that we could only get from a strong foodservice partner."

The latest Love's location will serve Chester's signature menu options, including Chester's fried chicken, potato wedges and biscuits, at both lunch and dinner with dine-in and carry-out options, the company stated.
