Blue Moon Brewing Co. unveiled its twist on an IPA with Blue Moon White IPA, a medium-bodied brew with an ABV of 5.9 percent. The tastes of hop citrus and orange peel citrus complement wheat and malts for a uniquely balanced IPA bitterness, according to the maker. The beer debuted nationally April 1. During the week prior to its release, the company disclosed clues such as GPS coordinates on its social media sites to secret locations in New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Austin and Nashville where fans embarked on a scavenger hunt to enjoy the first taste of Blue Moon White IPA. The first 20 fans who arrived at the undisclosed locations received a map to an intimate beer dinner with one of Blue Moon’s brewmasters.
