Gilbarco Veeder-Root Secure Remote Support
New partnership with Acumera supports plans to rapidly enable chip card payments at the dispenser.
Gilbarco Veeder-Root is partnering with Acumera to deliver secure remote support for Gilbarco’s Passport point-of-sale system. The partnership supports plans to rapidly enable chip card (EMV) payments at the dispenser. Gilbarco chose Acumera because the company built a platform technology that is secure and flexible, so Gilbarco can quickly roll out chip card payments for dispensers at customers’ forecourts, according to the announcement. Acumera’s platform also simplifies connectivity for Insite360, which retailers can use to remotely monitor their site and perform maintenance tasks like price changes, warm start dispensers and software updates.
