Two-Story Cumberland Farms Starts Rising in Massachusetts

MARION, Mass. -- After two years of planning, the first two-story Cumberland Farms store is now rising in this Massachusetts town.

Scott Schedin of South Coast Development told SippicanVillageSoup.com that the new convenience store, now under construction at 406 Wareham Road, is slated to open by Memorial Day.

Plans for the new store have been in the works for a couple of years. After a series of permit changes and appeals by the Framingham-based chain, the local Planning Board approved the final merits in November, the report stated.

This will be the first two-story store for Cumberland Farms. The company will not use the extra space for retail, however. According to Schedin, the second floor will be dedicated to storage.
